Born Baruch Gajc in Brześć Kujawski, Poland. Survived Fort Radziwill, Auschwitz and Buchenwald, where he took the name Bolek Guy; escaped to Prague and fought in the uprising of May 1945. Married Perla Weiss after the war; emigrated to Israel in 1949 and became a building contractor in Herzliya.

- Birth date: 21 May 1921 (confirmed 2026-09-24; also on a wartime Auschwitz list, Yad Vashem 13226903). GEDCOM's 31 JUL 1921 and the 1994 certificate's 21.10.1921 are wrong
- Died 22 Feb 2006, the same day as Alon's other grandmother Aviva Nahmany, in different hospitals, within about 15 minutes of each other
- Buried at Kfar Shmaryahu (exact plot to find)
- Met Perla in Prague after the war, where she came after liberation; they married after the war (so the '31 Jul 1944 Płaszów' date on Czech papers is not a real wedding date)
- Spoke about the Sobotka family who saved him; did not talk about his father's death in the Posen camp
