Perla (Piroska) Guy, née Weiss

What we know

Born Piroska Weiss in Nelipyno, Subcarpathian Ruthenia. The only survivor of her family: Auschwitz (A-19914), Płaszów, and the Markkleeberg sub-camp near Leipzig, where she was liberated on 18 April 1945. Met Bolek in Prague; lived in Ústí nad Labem, then Israel.

Confirmed by the family

• 1949: went first to the USA with Meir (Miloslav); about six months later they joined Bolek in Israel
• Met Bolek in Prague after the war; married after the war
• Buried at Kfar Shmaryahu (to confirm with Bolek's grave)
• Family often mentioned 'uncle John Stern' of Philadelphia and, even more, 'cousin Piri', probably his daughter
